Terms of Service

Effective: May 27, 2026 (Initial release)

These Terms govern your use of Alkong (the “Service”). By signing up, you agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose

These Terms set out the conditions and rules that apply to all features of the Service.

2. Definitions

• Member: a user who has agreed to these Terms and uses the Service
• Content: text, images, notes, and any other material created or uploaded by a Member
• Couple Relationship: a connection between two Members through the pairing feature

3. The Service

The Service provides:

• A question-and-answer game designed for couples
• Bucket list and anniversary management
• A public feed for sharing content

We may change or discontinue parts of the Service for operational or technical reasons, with prior notice for material changes.

4. Sign-Up and Withdrawal

1. Sign-up is available via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In.
2. Users under 14 years of age may not register.
3. You can withdraw at any time via Profile → Delete Account in the app.
4. Upon withdrawal, your personal information and content are deleted immediately. (Content created jointly with a partner may be partially retained to protect the partner’s rights.)

5. Member Responsibilities

You must not:

• Impersonate another person or provide false information
• Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, violent, or harmful to others
• Post obscene, sexually exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate content involving minors
• Infringe on others’ copyrights, portrait rights, or other rights
• Post spam or unsolicited promotional content
• Interfere with the operation of the Service (hacking, automation, etc.)

Zero-tolerance for objectionable content: violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban, without prior notice.

6. Reporting and Blocking

• Members can report inappropriate content through the in-app report feature.
• Members can block any user to hide that user’s content from their feed.
• We aim to review reports within 24 hours and act immediately on clear violations.

7. Content Rights

• You retain copyright in the content you create.
• You grant us a license to use that content as necessary to operate and present the Service.
• Content posted to the public feed remains visible to other Members until you make it private.

8. Paid Features

• Some features may be offered as a paid premium tier. All payments are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store’s in-app purchase system.
• Pricing, billing cycle, and auto-renewal terms are displayed at the time of purchase and require your consent.
• Refunds follow the Apple App Store refund policy.
• You can cancel auto-renewing subscriptions at any time via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

• We do not directly mediate disputes between Members (e.g., data separation after a couple ends their relationship).
• We are not responsible for service disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control (acts of God, power outages, network failures).
• We are not responsible for damages caused by your violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
• Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. Unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction provided under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when laws or our practices change. Material changes will be announced at least 7 days before they take effect. If you do not agree to a change, you can withdraw from the Service.
